psych major -- cognitive dissonance theory
if you continuously tell yourself you are one thing even though you are not, your unconscious mind with experience tension (cognitive dissonance). your body wants to relieve the tension so it actually changes so it actually IS what you tell yourself.

doesnt work when you tell yourself you are a foot taller or a millionaire. but does work with like emotions. BELIEVE ME.

psych majoring is fun.
