The Fluffy Face of Our Adversary

HOLY SHIT I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THIS A WEEK AGO

So. I've been busy. In my defense, I present exhibit A: PUPPY!

With Smilla gone, we knew the house would get all quiet, but I didn't expect it to hit the level of graveyard creepiness it reached, or the extent to which my mother would be affected. As it was, the decision for a new dog came along a lot faster and smoother than I thought, and my mother prevailed with an argument for a puppy to reduce risk of epilepsy that I still can't quite parse.

To make a long story short, we got us a puppy (Husky, of course. The virus has us firmly in its grip) on Saturday the 6th. Yes, that is how long I've been procrastinating on writing this. After long and hard negotiations we've agreed to call her Nadua, because that sounds nice.

PICTURE TIME!

Hello, my name is Nadua and I am awesome.

OMG someone is sniffing my butt D8

Winter's on the retreat, but she's had fun with the snow while it lasted.

Curious puppy is curious.

"We won't have dogs on the sofa. We never allowed dogs on the sofa and we won't start now. If we enforce this rule from day one, she will learn easily."

Fiercely assaulting the squeaky leopard.

All that playing tired her out. And not just her: We all go to bed at stupidly early times these days thanks to her, and now I'm tired. I have work to do tomorrow, so I'll have to write about anything else that happened another time.

puppy!, personal, awesome
