I was encouraged to watch a webinar about giving good presentations. Obviously the 'word' webinar is a clue that it's not going to end well, but the topic was interesting enough that I tried. It is in MS Office Livemeeting, and in order to use it, I had to:
* enter my MSN password;
* fill out a form including my e-mail, home address, work contact details, and uncheck three boxes which would have allowed MS to contact me using them;
* open my email to click a verification link
* fill out a second form with my email and company name
* wait five minutes for an error message saying I needed to reinstall Media Player
* reinstall WMP... (ongoing).
This is all for something that is supposedly 'freely available'. I hope it's worth it if and when I'm finally allowed to see it.
In other news, general disappointment but little surprise about the Scotland result.
