3x03 "Backstopped" Episode Discussion
What did everyone think of tonight's episode?
Well, I'm convinced now more than ever that Callen/Kensi have no chance for canon.
- All four of them were upset over being split up by Hunter but Deeks and Kensi were especially so IMO.
- Why did Kensi act like she'd known Callen for two weeks? Like asking Sam for anything she should know about Callen and then (I'm paraphrasing from what I can remember)
KENSI: So what's your favorite food?
CALLEN: Excuse me?
KENSI: Just breaking the ice.
CALLEN: Kensi, we've known each other for a long time.
And then they talk about how they don't REALLY know anything about each other and still neither of them share anything about each other :(
- Deeks was worried about Sam telling Kensi about the dude stepping on his face and Kensi was worried about Callen telling Deeks about her driving making Callen sick. Ugh.
Kensi just didn't seem comfortable working with Callen (what happened to her being his favorite agent?) and being away from Deeks. I don't know maybe I'm reading too much into it but I've seen a lot of tv shows and a lot of ships and I'm pretty sure TPTB are going to stick with D/K all the way. I think they're supposed to be the Tony/Ziva of NCIS LA which is unfortunate since unlike TiVa, the writers spent no time building chemistry and already have D/K flirting and making googly eyes at each other and unable to live without each other apparently :P Plus am I the only one who thinks there's a real lack of chemistry amongst the team as a whole? The show has basically become CALLEN AND SAM or DEEKS AND KENSI with a sprinkle of ERIC AND NELL and 5 minutes of team interaction per episode.
