The WIP!

The thing that's making it so rocky is the fact that I'm jumping back and forth between POV's ((lol... I think I've been logging for too long)). I really *want* to be inside both of their heads--unless I write the whole thing from one end, and then the whole thing from the other end... but that's a bit of a pain. \o.O/

So everything is on hold for now until I feel like figuring it out pfffft

Well... it's mostly my want to capture both POV's. Rereading it... it sounds like an RP log where you're tagging back and forth. I should probably just bite the bullet and just *pick* one--or maybe not jump back and forth nearly as much.

I also had an idea a while back of doing a slight AU where... somehow during that final duel in the Forest of Barriers Kenshin manages to realize she's THERE and avoid killing her--and then deal with them coming to terms with everything that happened. XD But my attention span isn't long enough to figure out the details.

If you want, I could go over it and alter the POV's and the ellipses a bit, kind of like a beta reader? I can already see some ways in which to make it flow better...
Oh, and I like that idea! Not many people do it, when you'd think it would be an obvious plot idea, and none of those have finished it...
And really, in order to save Tomoe, all you need to do is have her put on a bit to much perfume so he smells her earlier, he stops himself, probably falling since he's injured and in snow, and she stabs Yaminobu leader Tatsumi.
It's the aftermath tat would be interesting, especially since, if you go by the manga, he doesn't realise it wasn't a kidnapping of his innocent wife until her reads her diary...

Oh, I already had that part figured out. Wind shift, just enough for him to smell her a little earlier--enough to alter the angle of his swing to avoid *killing* her (I figured she'd wind up with one nasty boo boo to the arm)--with the close proximity Tatsumi would probably knock her out of the way--which would trigger ye ol' mysterious shounen strength reserves in our favorite redhead, and since knocking the woman out of his way might create a bit of an opening Kenshin would slip in with a killing upward stab under Tatsumi's jaw (think OVA-version of Shigekura's assassination).

I've started editing your WIP, since you didn't say anything against it. Right now I'm just altering the grammar and word order a bit, and getting rid of the ellipses - you use them a lot when I think you mean to use comma's or full stops. I'll send you what I've done so far when I get to the part with all the POV changes, and you can tell me if you're OK with my changes so far, and if you want me to work on the POV's, OK?

Heh... I'm addicted to ellipses. *headdesk* The vast majority of them can be switched to full stops. It mostly comes from the way I write speech in RP (i.e. writing out a voice response and trying to bring across verbal pauses rather than put blah blah [pauses] Blah blah [pauses]).

You can work with the POV's if you want... though I think it might make more sense to beta the thing when I actually have the whole fic done?

But if you want to... I mean knock yourself out. \o.O/
