The Wal-Mart That Stole Halloween

Nov 02, 2009 12:14

You ever spend months looking forward to something, only to have someone ruin your plans at the last minute?  Well, apparently the owners of Wal-Mart don't like fun, because they waited until the day before Halloween to tell us that we couldn't wear our costumes to work.  So that $200 Ghostbuster costume I worked on for three months had to wait in the car.  To top things off, while I did eventually get to put it on to show it to a few friends, I accidentally broke off a few things on the pack trying to get it out of the car.  I'm going to have to fix quite a few things before I could ever use it again.  Granted, this costume is nearly convention quality, a few improvements and I wouldn't mind wearing this to Comic-Con or any of the other big conventions, so I know I'm going to use most of it again.  Still, I'm just kind of pissed off that I didn't get to show it off to nearly as many people as I was going to.
