It's a dungeons and dragons thing. You use the dice to figure out how much damage you do. The stronger the weapon the more sides the dice. For example, my short spear only uses a d3 (three sided die), while my friend's dwarven waraxe uses a d10 (Ten sided die). The more sides, the more damage is possible. :D It makes sense after you've been playing for a while.
Beacause....I am a looser? *laughs* yeah, we were playing D&D this afternoon. I'm a lvl 12 sorceror, and I won this Arcane Challenge, solely on Style points from the judges. I would have come in second, but becasue I y'know, Used "Ice Storm" To blow up a boulder, "Dimension Door"'d myself to the top of a tower to get a peacock feather and "Dimension door"'d myself back down (Which is essentially teleportation) and Summoned a Griffin to use it's wind attack to blow away a pile of hay to find a needle, I got a whack of style points, as well as being the fastest to complete the challenges. Yeah, I'm a nerd. *nerdy glasses look*
*rereads what she wrote* Well...Yeah. Suffice to say that I used some majorly kickass spells to destroy things where little boom spells would have worked fine. :D I love my Kickass spells of doom.
