I'm a major supporter of free speech, but it is entirely possible that the time has come for Navarette to have his mouth sewn shut.
His latest bunch of BS is about how "America doesn't welcome immigrants". He then scoffs at the fact that America welcomes 2 million LEGAL immigrants a year, and calls it "no big deal." All of this surrounding the aniversary of the immigration reform protests.
You know, the ones where people were marching around flying MEXICAN FLAGS!!!
I look back on my heritage with some sense of pride, make no mistake. I find it good to know where you come from. But, at the same time, you will never, ever, EVER see me flying either the Scottish or Irish flags (unless of course I go to some international soccer match, natch).
He then goes on to lay down this jack-story about people being afraid of people with their "weird languages, strange religions, and peculiar customs". This guy just doesn't get it. It has nothing to do with any of that. People are pissed off because THESE PEOPLE ARE CONTINUING TO BREAK THE LAWS OF OUR UNION AND OUR SO-CALLED "LEADERS" ARE DEBATING WHETHER OR NOT TO ALLOW THEM TO STAY!!!
I bet he doesn't give a shit about the thousands of illegal Irish immigrants showing up in the North-East, only to be sent packing.
He just wants Americans to stop harrassing the people that jump our southern border.
There's philanthropy, and then there's just plain racism.
