It's been a while since i posted something on this journal. A year maybe but i wanted to revived this and then put my anything random stuffs about life and everything. So now i'm busy finishing my fic Pandora's Box which you can read on my
inoo_hime journal. But i find time to do this and i am really excited while answering all the 100 questions. It's been 2 years since i become a fan of seiyuu and i have a significant amount of knowledge about them now. If you are interested to know my interest about seiyuu then please feel free to read it.
1. Please give us your name.
- Karen
2. Please give us your birthdate and blood type.
- July 27 and my blood type is B.
3. Your occupation is?
- secret
4. How long is your history of being a seiyuu fan?
- I think 2 years by this january
5. Please state male seiyuu that you like.
My number one is definitely Miyano Mamuro since he is the first seiyuu that I discovered and learned to love. I fell like I am hypnotized by his voice. XD
6. Please state female seiyuu that you like.
- So far I am into male seiyuu and so I didn't know much about female seiyuu but I think I like Kana Hanazawa.
7. Who is the very first seiyuu you knew of? From what title?
- Miyano Mamuro, in his role of Ichinose Tokiya in Uta No Prince Sama
8. Who is the very first seiyuu that you liked?
- It's Mamo-chan too. Like I said I am hypnotized by his voice that I keep on playing his Amazing Grace version and his every song in Utano. My lilttle brother memorize the tune already because I keep on repeating it.
9. What male seiyuu do you tend to like? (e.g. A low and rough voice)
- I like voices that are calm and low and those voices that are unique. There are seiyuus voices that I think have the same voice range and so I tend to like those I think I can distinguish different from the others (yeah I know confusing) and also those gentleman type of voices.
10. And the opposite, ones you tend to dislike?
- yeah… I don't like rough voices… mostly does who played villain but it doesn't really mean I dislike it… it's just if I were to choose this kind of voices are in the lowest ranking.
11. What female seiyuu do you tend to like?
- I like Kana's voice, cute but calm at the same time. I also like those female seiyuu who voices male characters. Mostly they voiced male characters that are young at age.
12. And the opposite, ones you tend to dislike?
- I don't like those small pitch voices… maybe voices of some tsundere but I like Rie Kugimiya's character as Kagura in Gintama.
13. Have you ever been to an event, live, stage performance that seiyuu were in?
- Not yet but I love too.
14. What event was it? Around when?/For those who haven't been, an event that you'd like to go to.
- Well if there is an event I wanted to attend to then I want Uta no prince live stage.
15. Do you subscribe seiyuu magazines?
- No, I can't afford them.
16. Have you "come out" about liking seiyuu?
- Well I do but not as much as I am with JUMP besides I am just new in Seiyuu fandom and I am not all knowing about them yet. Considering the numbers of seiyuu in the anime world… I don't think I will know them all in an instant. But I love flailing over them at twitter and I really really wanted to "come out". Maybe doing this will implied and tell the world HEY I'M A SEIYUU FAN!!!
17. Of the people around you, fans of which seiyuu are there a lot?
- Not that much. I am trying to influence my sisters but it seems like they don't bulge.
18. Does your family also like seiyuu?
- Well… they know about it but I don't know if they like them.
19. You often watch anime and play games for the seiyuu.
- YUP! Before I am just watching anime for the story line and characters and I never pay attention to the voices that gives life to them. Now honestly, I am downloading anime even I don't like the story, just to hear my favourite seiyuu's voice and to know how will he portray that character.
20. You're also interested in variety shows and documentary narrations.
- Of course.
21. If seiyuu that you liked were in it, it doesn't matter if it has a minimum age limit (R, NC-17, etc.)
- Yup… anything is welcome.
22. If seiyuu that you liked were in it, it doesn't matter if it's a Boys Love
- It's been my dream actually to hear Mamo in a boys love cd drama. I know he have a yaoi anime which is Antique Bakery? But never tried watching it yet since I think, based on what I saw, it have an old style animation. I also didn't know if he have cd drama.
23. ...Rather, do you like Boys Love works?
- yup. I am a really big fan.
24. Have you ever had a case of "This character's voice is this person!"?
- since I became a fan of seiyuu, whenever I am watching new anime I always do this. "Ahhh this is **** voice. I know it was him." but there are times that I fail to distinguish their voices. Seiyuu's are really great in manipulating their voices and it's something I really admire.
25. Have you ever had a case of a sudden cast change that didn't go over well with you?
- Well I read that Alibaba of Magi will be played by Mamo but it turned out to be Kaji. But there's no hard feeling coz I think Kaji played the role well. But I am wishing, praying and hoping that it will be Mamo who will be cast as the big brother in Love Stage… I think he suits that role. *prays*
26. Have you ever been surprised by the gap between (a seiyuu's) voice and face?
- Yeah I am! Super… I thought this is a young man but when I see the real face "whoa it's old looking man" I kinda feel disappointed but in the end, when you are a fan of seiyuu for maybe a year you will not consider the face anymore. I mean you will focus more on the voice though physical look still a plus point right?
27. Are looks important for a seiyuu?
- Seiyuu's money maker is their voices. It is what sells them. As for me it's not really important since the voice is what really matters but like I said on the question above here physical look is a plus point. If you have a really great voice and then you have a really good looking face then your popularity will boost definitely.
28. There's been detection of a scandal for seiyuu you like! What would you do?
- I don't know… I'll just sit and wait if that scandal can be confirmed true or just a man made. By the time I become a fan of Mamo, the hype of the news about him being married and have a son is already diminishing but when I read it I was shocked and surprised. I wonder how his fan that time accepted it or it maybe cause a decline on his popularity since I think it was really all of a sudden announcement. But now he is back on his feet and he is still top of the ranking and despite knowing that he is a married man I still love himXD
- 29. Are there any seiyuu of the same gender that you admire?
- Yeah Kana Hanazawa and then Miyuki Sawashiro.
30. Do you yourself have confidence in your voice?
- Me? I don't know… hehe
31. Frankly, you want to become a seiyuu!
- I AM!
32. What is the most expensive seiyuu related good you've purchased? BTW, how much was it?
- I don't have any but I am planning to buy the dvd of the uta no prince 3rd live stage if it will be release. I don't know how much it is though but I wish it was affordable.
33. You've had a work that you've been anticipating disappointingly only be aired on WOWOW, BS, CS (pay cable networks).
- we don't have cable so I don't know what is this WOWOW, BS and CS all about.
34. You've thought "I want to live in Tokyo..." before (For shows and events only in Tokyo/Kantou region)
- JAPAN is one country I really wanted to visit but I never really thought of living for lifetime there. I just want to visit places, eat their foods, witness their culture and of course I wanted to watch JUMP's concert and to attend a seiyuu event where my favourite seiyuus are together.
35. Extras (special footage, figurines, etc) that only come with a DVD don't settle well with you.
- everything is fine with me. I am not a picky person.
36. Becoming an anime and becoming a drama CD, which makes you happier?
- I like anime better.
37. You listen to seiyuu radio programs.

- Not yet but I really want to try. Anyone knows how?

-Luxurious casting? Like the seiyuus are the best among the best? Well I think first is Durarara. Kamiyo, OnoD, Mamo, Jun I forgot the others are included on it. Second will be Shingeki no Kyojin (Kaji, OnoD, Kamiyo, Shimono are there) Third will be… I guess Uta no Prince. It seems like the casts are well choosen since their voices blended well in singing or it's just me who think that way?

- Shocking? Seiyuu works that are shocking? Ahmmm well I think those male seiyuu who are doing BL Cd drama. I really thought that those BL CD are done by ahmmm those ordinary people hired to moan and everything but when I read that they are done by seiyuus who are really famous in their field of work I was really really shock. I can't believe they can do it or I know they can but to be open about it. Well work is work but I really wonder… is it not embarassing to do that kind of sound in a recording area and to make it sound so real…ahhh my mind is corrupted^___^ I don't know what to include anymore since I think that is the most shocking thing for me right now.
44. Are there any seiyuu that, just by chance, (your) opinion of them improved?

- livejournal
48. Is there a seiyuu fansite that you manage yourself?
- none
49. What do you think of fansites? Also, going through a fansite, has anything ever changed for you?
- I think they are good. It's a heaven for fans like us coz we can find everything on that fansite.
50. Halfway point. A word at this lookback point?
- Should I watch Gundam 00 to listen to Setsuna's voice again?
51. List the top three seiyuu that you think sing really well.
- Of course my number one is Miyano Mamuro, do I still need to give reason? Just listen to his Amazing Grace and some of his songs. I just noticed that he loves to use vibrato in his voice hehe^___^ 2nd will be Suzuki Tatsuhisa, I keep on repeating his Takao character song in Kurobas Cup 2013 I didn't know the title but I really like it and also his character song as Makoto of Free is love. 3rd will be Aoi Shouta (Ai Mikaze of Uta no Prince) I really thought he is a girl when I heard him singing the theme songs for Kimi to Boku.

72. What male seiyuu do you think works well at voicing female roles? (WTF?)
- I don't know anyone.
73. What seiyuu works well at voicing an elder brother or sister role?
- older brother? I think Nakamura Yuuchi (Miketsukami of Inu X Boku SS) is good since he have this deep calm voice and I also like Konishi Katsuyuki (Takano of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi). For big sister I want Endou Aya (Tsukumo of Karneval) and maybe Saaya Sakamoto (Haruhi of Ouran High School Host Club)

- Pervert character who only think about boobies and the likes. I also don't like those stupid characters who really don't used their mind to think.
82. What female characters do you tend to like?
- I like female characters who are brave and doesn't rely much for someone to save them. Someone who can stand on their own feet despite of all the hardship in life examples of this female that I like are Nami of One Piece (though she is a scaredy cat I like what she did to save her town) Mikasa of Shingeki no Kyojin (though I don't like her obssession towards Eren) and then Rukia of Bleach.

-I can't remember but I like them since I watched the anime or read the manga they belong.
86. What do you think of entertainers (idols, actors etc) taking a stab at voice work?
- It's fine as long as they can do it well. Voice work is hard since you need to give life to a character with just your voice. It's like acting but not seeing your face and body gesture. If you are not good, it will easily noticed because a fan will not feel any emotion to the characters.
87. Who do you think is an entertainer likely to try voice acting in the future?
- Umika did a great job in playing a character in Hunter x Hunter movie and also Kanata Hongo in Btooom. I think they will have more role in the future.

- if it's too much then I will stand and defend him. I don't want people saying bad things to people that I really like.
91. Speaking of major seiyuu, who do you think of?
- Major seiyuu? Famous? No. 1? I think Hiroshi Kamiya is no. 1 among all the seiyuu. Am I wrong? He is everywhere.
92. Among the seiyuu that you like, do you think they're major (well known?) Or are they minor?
- I think they’re mostly major.
93. Do you think of yourself as a teenybopper?

- Yeah… Mamo cheating is embarrassing on his part but it is a laughing stuff for me.
98. About how much longer do you think you'll remain a seiyuu fan?
- I am not sure about this but maybe until my interests fade away. I don't know though when it will happen.
99. To you, what is a "seiyuu"?
- Seiyuu are people who give life to a 2D character. They work at backstage and not scene by people but you can see and feel their hardship when you heard their fantastic voice synchronized to the character they are playing. Without them… anime world will be doomed heheXD
100. Good work, it's over. Give one last comment!
- That was long but I really enjoyed it. Talking about something that you really love is really enjoyable. I really admire seiyuus and I really appreciate their work so much and someday I want to meet them personally and tell them how happy I am to be a fan of them. If ever someone read this long meme thank you for reading it till the end. I hope reading this made you know me better…
