It's the little things

Thanks to my friends who took my desperate pleas for attention.  I really appreciate it.

I just got back from improv rehearsal with my troupe.  It was a really busy day for me in that I met with the new Dean of Life Long Learning at Central Arizona College and then had a job interview at Harkins for an Assistant Supervisor position.  They have a new Harkins in Casa Grande with a really nice mall/promenade. It is really amazing at the growth just in the short 3 years or so that I have been here.

I have a 2nd interview with the GM of the theatre on Friday. It doesn't pay well at all but it is so close and I actually think they will be more flexible about the schedule after my extensive interview today.  The deal breaker may be how much their medical plan will cost me.  I will know more Friday afternoon.

I miss Patrick. He has been in Spokane for a couple weeks and wont be back for a few more weeks.  Ugh.  There isn't any reports of major drama but my concern is that he has too much free time on his hands, especially with my ex working.

Michelle is in L.A. with her sister and they went to see Wicked tonight in Hollywood.  She gets back tomorrow night.  Dylan is babysitting for her aunt and staying over night this week with them and Ryan is working the 8 PM to 4:30 AM shift at a new Fry's Market Place that is opening nearby.  So I have been at the house by myself a lot.

It was nice for a couple days but it has been weird too.

Just a quick medical update. I went to my first ever appointment with a cardiologist last week.  My dad died of a heart attach at 40 yrs old.   I have always had good cholesterol and blood pressure and thankfully still do, even with being so overweight but a few months back when I was so crazy busy with Greater Tuna, my regular job and everything else I started to get short of breath more than I had ever noticed.

So in a couple weeks I am going to do a stress test, get my heart rate up on the treadmill with all the EKG things on me.  They say that takes about 3 hours.

Then the following week I am going to get an I.V. of dye and they are going to do sonograms of my heart.

I need to know what the deal is and I want to do something radical to get this weight off.  I will be 46 in Sept.  46!  I can't believe it.

I will share one very vain moment in that one of my Torch theatre students said I looked 39.  Still looking 30 something... I will take it, even if it was under suspicious circumstances.

I am staring my own production company. Mostly for tax reasons and I have a meeting with a national organization for Senior Theatre.  I am going to start that up either way.  I have a proposal submitted to the City Parks and Rec. and I had a good starting point meeting with Central Arizona College today but I am moving forward with or without them. F'm if they can't keep up.

By the way, I have always tried to keep up with my LJ friends.  If feels good to be back.

Cheers LJ and LJ Friends!
