Finally, something like 8 hours after you posted I get to read it at....1.29 am!
And Sooooooo worth the wait!
I can't even say how brilliant I think you are - This story just rocks so much and as it goes on it only gets better. There really IMO aren't many authors who can get every character exactly how I view them on the show but you do every single time - You're super talented and I love that I get to benefit from it in the form of super freaking awesome fic!
It seems Callie and Arizona's relationship is really moving along nicely which to be honest given everything that has happened is such a relief! Not foolish enough to believe that it's all going to be rainbows and sunshine and crap but it is nice to see them in a good place - They truly deserve it.
'It was high time Callie was reminded of who she was with and what they were trying to accomplish here, none of which had to do with Mark Sloan.'
Sing it! - So glad Mark isn't in this Fic annoying and interfering! They have already had enough obstacles to face without other outside interference,
Really happy the brace worked! So happy for both Callie and Arizona. You could just feel the disappointment and heartbreak radiating from Callie when she thought it hadn't worked - meanie Arizona! But the fact that it did is such a credit to Callie. She's been so supportive and so helpful and so dedicated. Normally not always a huge fan of Callie in a lot of Fics - this one here I just can't get enough of her! She's everything that I wish she was on the show lol.
“Relationships aren’t about keeping score,” she reminded her softly, “you don’t need to keep thanking me all the time. Besides, you did the hardest part. Don’t sell yourself short.”
Amen to this! Relationships really aren't about keeping score. Arizona has been through a hell of a lot since the start of this story and Callie know's that. And Arizona did do a lot of the work herself, hard work and Callie as her partner has been by her side 100% like all partners who love their other half do - that's a relationship. Fact is we know Arizona loves her and we know she appreciates her - I don't think it needs to be a contest you know?
Oh and how excited I am that Arizona is going to be getting back to work!!! Eeekk so excited! Sooo sooo excited and more than that she's going to be a Trauma Surgeon! Not her normal kick ass Ped's Surgeon. Can I assume we might see some drama with her returning to work and actually working? Either way I'm really looking forward to her kicking some ass. Unlike on the show I hope we actually get to see her do her work!
I kind of think it's important whether it actually is or not though - that Arizona is meshing the two together - Dan/Callie dinner, I think letting Callie in a little bit on that side is a step for Arizona. I mean I'm not expecting them to have some big sit down and talk about all their horrors but it's nice to see her mixing the two - opening up a bit and letting Callie in to some other sides of her and people she associates with
