Disney World

So Disney World was pretty awesome.  It would have been more awesome if I was younger and didn't have bumbling parents with me but you take what you can get.

Highlights:

Hollywood Studios:

seeing Palm Trees

The 3D Muppet Movie and buying a winter hat that is made up of Beaker's face.  Most awesome souvie ever.

The Toy Story Midway ride where you shoot at different things

Seeing the storyboard for Toy Story 3

Learning that Mushu was orignally going to be two characters, a griffin and a lizard (I think it was lizard)

Eating at the Sci-Fi Drive In, watching trailers that have probably been featured on MST3K

Watching the Indiana Jones stunt show.

Magic Kingdom:

The cuteness of Main Street

The Big Thunder Railroad was actually a roller coaster I could enjoy

The Jungle Cruise where the dead pan driver was hilarious with the bad puns and his arguments wtih the children.  For example, a small boy said that the animals weren't real.  Driver replies, "are those rocks real?  is the water real?  well then the animals are real"  Kid stares back at him.  Driver:  "Exactly."  Oh bad logic.

The parade, seeing most of the best Disney characters.  Best part was when one of Cinderella's stepsisters went by saying in the most obnoxious voice ever-"I'm the pretty one!!!"

EPCOT

The Universe of Energy Ride with Ellen was really amusing.

The different  country showcases were pretty cool.

The low highlights:

Getting on a bus thinking we could get to the front desk of the hotel faster because it always stops there, to being taken to Downtown Disney instead.

The half mile walk back to our room from the hotel entrance.

Space Mountain being the most unenjoyable ride experience of my life.  Seriously, who finds being jostled in the dark, fun?

I was disappointed in Pirates of the Caribbean.  I thought they would make it more like the movie but it really wasn't.  No Barbarossa and monkey made me sad.

I thought the Wishes fireworks show would blow my mind but it didn't.  It was good, don't get me wrong but I think the hype made me think it would be better than it actually was.

The downpour at EPCOT which shortened our stay there, meaning I didn't get to eat at the aquarium place or see the Finding Nemo thing.  Or go to Animal Kingdom for that matter.

My mother losing her wallet with her ID, making going through security scary (but they let her through nonetheless).

Our flight home being delayed and then the turbulence on the plane.

The brats who sat behind us on the plane.  They did make it to the Brat Hall of Fame, so it some aspects it was a good thing.

Unfortunately, school and its many assignments loom once again.  Graduation can't come soon enough (of course I say this now, but when it happens, I'll be like "I don't wanna graduate!")
