Ignore me, I'm being a whiney little bitch
STILL have not heard from the prodco.
I entered the Ace Screewriting contest, cut them slack on three missed deadlines in early rounds because of hurricane Katrina (a fact which didn't stop the contest director from entering another lucrative contest herself in the meantime). But they've let the finalist anouncement date slip (second time) yesterday.
The Tennessee Screenwriting contest also didn't announce semi-finals. No emails, no notice on the website.
The First Glance Competition? Supposed to notify "Late December/Early January" an email response last Friday said results would be up on Jan. 30th - liars!
Hey, if these things cost nothing, then I'd say "what the hell" but they run $35 - $55 a pop these days, and they can't even send a lousy email blast to contestants to give them a heads-up?
Plus, there are so many now the value of wins on my resume are being seriously dilluted.
