As 2007 is just around the corner, it is time for reflection, time to look back at year 2006. I couldn't remember if I had any new year's resolution, or even goals for 2006, and that I'd say, was not a good start.
And it turned out, 2006 is the year of heartbreaks.
Firstly, Man United lost the English Premier league to Chelsea. Then England screwed up again at the World Cup while Australia got kicked up by cheating Italians, and as if it wasn't bad enough already, Zidane went bersek in the final, and that wrapped up a very disappointing World Cup.
At work, we lost a few very interesting tenders, mostly because of reasons that's beyond our control.
Then the crocodile hunter... sigh.
But as I thought it is gonna be a sucky year, I also learned a few lessons and learned a lot more about life, work, people and most importanly, myself. I can't really say what it is exactly, but I guess I am better at "dealing with things" now, I suppose I can see the otherside of things easier, and whenever something bad happens, it is probably a blessing in disguise.
I also realised how important my friends are, but at the same time, how shitty they can be.
But in the end, I think I am ending the year on a high. And I think it is definitely because of the trip back to Hong Kong. Whatever it is, it touches me the moment I stepped out of the airport, like a fresh breath of air, and it mesmerised me, it was truely something amazing and special.
And Man United is ahead of Chelsea in the league! :)
So here I am, looking forward to 2007.
