Oh, yeah, I hear there have been a lot of recalls on the new model Civics recently. The most recent being a handbrake-related one. Other recalls, as told to me by the mechanic that gave me a lift to work while I got my car serviced, was driver-side door lock, rear shock absorbers, and top rubber sealant on the windscreen.
Dunno if that's helpful any XD
He also said that the previous shape Civics had very few by comparison, like one or two or something. Which is good news for me, I guess XD
You seemed to have deleted your reply earlier, but I'll reply to it anyway!
But, yeah, I think here 4WD is used generally and not specific to car types. I don't know much more than that though (on account of never having owned a 4WD vehicle).
And, well, my Civic's quite nice; late 2005, V-tec, you've seen what it looks like, and I got it for about £6k after a £2.5k trade-in. I consider it a pretty good buy, personally? But then again I suppose I don't know much XD
And, obviously, these are £'s we're talking about here...
Hm~ Well, I could easily have imagined it being in the manual. I shall do a flip through it when I get in the car to go to work later XD
Well, I guess there aren't many cars that I can think of that are still cars and have 4WD/AWD. I actually googled AWD and found a website for a British group of AWD enthusiasts, and they seem to mainly talk about off-road vehicles XD
I've seen a lot of those WRXs around here. Well, Imprezas in general, I've seen quite a few of. They're alright, but I've never been a terribly big fan of them. I prefer my cars to be smaller because I'm shit at parking *hugs Civic* XD
I like smaller cars too, in general (why I don't want a truck, and one reason I hate SUVs, and one of many I hate hummers... and actually, one reason of many I don't like domestics anymore, either. Don't buy American, ever), but it's gonna be largely about the drivetrain this time. I hate slipping around on the road.
Still, I've driven larger cars than the Impreza, and the WRXs are priced much lower than their AWD European contemporaries (they do a 3 series AWD, and Audi also has a couple AWD vehicles). Turbo'd be fun, too XD Particularly in a manual.
Might need to put this to the two, or maybe even three year range, though. They only started selling the WRX version of the Impreza in 2002 in the states, meaning if that's what I want, I'm probably gonna need to wait a year for the price to drop a little lower (and for my cash to increase a little, as well).
We'll see how things go this year, I guess, and whether or not it's possible or advisable. I guess I could sell my 3000 GT for a regular Impreza. :(
I don't have any recommendations but I do have a question: What's AWD? 8D

I mean the low end civics that get all fiberglassed up need not apply. If a civic had AWD...
It's all wheel drive, by the way; great for weather conditions. Particularly snow.

And I've heard people say that the V-tec kick-in is noticeable, but I've not managed to see/feel it yet XD
And, according to my Civic manual, I think there are 4WD Civics. Though my memory's a little fuzzy on that score.
