Weekend of Fun
Well, everyone, I'm gone for the weekend...at a church retreat at a friend of mine's (Chris Murphy) house. There's lots of us here...gonna be fun. Haha, its now after 1 in the morning, and I have no idea when I'll be getting to sleep. I'm sorry to hear that the game wasn't all that well (well, not so much the game...more the fact that the band people were miserable...betcha guys showed up the Portsmouth band, though =D [had to have a change of face, livi...hope u don't mind :-P]) Anywho, I'm here until Sunday...then, I'm heading back to Grace for second services (10:30) and afterwards, I'm gonna be playing Flag Football at the Commons.
First day recap: Got to the church just before 5. Cleaned out a room in the church by bringing things to the dumpster out back. We found a ball somewhere...a little nerf one...and we had a blast chucking it at each other. Lisa got hit in the head by Jess...but she was all right. Once everyone got there, we got pizza and soda (coke and Cherry coke)...and candy, thanks to Christine. Lotsa pizza... Anywho, after that, we all left the church to head to a homeless shelter and help out there. We were given the task of sorting through clothes...finding what was good and what was bad. It was right next to the dump (with the methane flame and all) so it didn't smell all that great outside. But that's ok...it was still nice to be able to help them out. After that, we went to the coffe-house at the Christian Worship Center and listened a bit to some people singing there: Miranda and Mave...don't know a whole lot about either, but Mave was a group of three girls :-P. Then, around 8:30, we left for the Murphys'. They've got a nice place, lemme tell ya! And they have llamas! I haven't seen them yet, but I should be seeing 'em tomorrow. (well, today, rather...seein' as how its quarter past 1) So far at the Murphys', I haven't done a whole lot. There is lotsa food...LOTS of food. Doug says over $200.00 worth. I think most of the weekend's gonna be spent watching movies and other small things. (i might be doing a few things with the websites that I'm helping out w/ and maybe help Chris out with his...all you GYG'ers, I might just finally add some more pictures =O: www.graceyg.com/photos.htm, but I'm not exactly positive if I will be.)
