(Once more, I feel it is only fair to warn you capitalist pigs that I am joking with this and that I am not a real communist-unless you use the standards hoisted by such intellectual pillars as Glen Beck and that drunk guy on 10A bus that I see every Saturday night-you know who you are!)
The morning papers
Enough is too damned much!
We will no longer put up with this grave and terrible insult! What insult am I speaking of you might ask? What could infuriate my red blooded heart so much that I would be using such extraneous and sloppy punctuation??!!
I speak of the so-called “Red star.” Or rather I speak of those who would defame communisms good name by referring to this capitalist rag as having anything to do with us. In particular I speak to you NewsBusters and your absurd little petty partisan website. I would feel bad about kicking a dead horse, or maybe an infrequently fed and rather sparsely updated horse, but examples must be made.
To anyone that would accuse the Star Tribune of being the Minneapolis Pravda I would ask you: where have you been living? I have been reading this awkward and under-investigative glorified pile of various wire services for years now and I fail to see how this paper deserves the good badge of being called communist.
Perhaps reporting on the health of Chilean mine workers is somehow akin to quoting from das capitol? Or are your pig-like ears so inured to the cries of workers that you cannot even stand to hear of heroic workers being rescued from mines? What are you so concerned about? Does the paper have an entire section dedicated to Labor? I keep looking for it but there is this business section with stock quotations I keep stumbling over.
There is a pretty little below the fold front pager celebrating one of your parties’ mascots wearing a Viking Jersey and her victory in gaining the most campaign contributions of any member of congress.
Of course most of the criticisms I have heard and seen from all manner of sources about this newspaper point towards the mystical back pages of the paper dedicated to opinion. Strangely, I have yet to see an op-ed written in this section recently that calls for the workers to throw off their chains or to seize command of their workplaces. I do see some balance of the stooges and actors you call pundits that they carry nationally and whose opinions are considered acceptable to this capitalist-corporate system.
Perhaps you still cling to the fool notion that Democrats are socialists or some other idiocy. Perhaps for you it would only be balanced if you had one corporate democrat editorial to two republican editorials? Please! George Will and Bill Kristol can only do so much! They’re only human, give ‘em a break!
When will I get my own op-ed column or section in the paper? I mean the amount of time Glen Beck alone spends on communists like me would make me think that there must be hordes of red readers eagerly awaiting revolutionary writings.
