I’m a commie!
Ok, I have had it now. Actually I have had it for years with the nonsensical ravings of the right wing radio stars. For years they have screamed commie, socialist, or whatever euphemism they wanted to employ to imply that the particularly timid (and oft-times corporate backed) democrats are somehow rabidly revolutionary reds seeking to turn America into a mass of collectives.
The absurdity of this is lost on too many people for me to stay silent so, for the next couple of weeks I’m going to play the role of an honest-to-redness hard core communist. I will make a semi-regular posts explaining precisely where and how good proper communism meets America. There will be little order to this; the exposition will be rather random and rather often guided by what I happen to read in the papers or hear about on the news so get ready to enjoy.
In retrospect I have done this before I think but I really do believe we need to occasionally be reminded of what we are talking about (particularly those of us that think red-baiting is a high form of debate and argumentation.)
