My doctor put me on ambien to help me sleep. I sometimes have some apnea episodes now that I've gained more weight than I had lost before. Sigh. So I'm typing in my sleep now.
I'm on Alexis' computer. It was just sitting here and available so I sat down and started snooping. It's great fun. Then I thought to myself,
"Are you snooping because of betrayals you've suffered in the past from others? Do you not trust him?" The answer is . . of course I trust him. It's just fun. I'm not in *his* files on this computer anyway. Those are under his own logon. I logged on as myself. But still it makes me wonder why I sometimes feel like we really have a LOT more to learn about each other. He's so much more private than I am even though lately I've been much more stay-at-home-flower-on-the-wall than he has.
Tonight I got a big shock and my head still feels funny from it. I finally looked up a good friend I knew at Purdue, hoping to get back in touch with him. I googled his name and got his obituary. Bart died September 5, 2007 at the age of 37. What the heck? I hope to get a hold of a mutual friend soon for more details. I certainly don't want to call his mom except to express my own grief and condolences. He has a son, Jake, and the obituary asked that in lieu of flowers people send money to his education fund. I'll certainly do that as soon as I can. I think I'll get some photos of Bart I took at Purdue also and send those to his family. He was a great guy. Funny, smart, cute, and loyal. I came out to him in school and he said, "Yeah, I thought you might be gay. Cool. More girls for me!" I know I haven't seen him in years but I'm going to miss him all the same.
