I randomly feel it is time for a post.

Waited on Lianna's birthday party at the Fields Saturday night. Thanks, Lianna, for taking care of the bill whilst Edgar was distracted. That honestly wasn't my intention. And thanks also for the complements.
For all of you not there, I ended up trying to explain in Spanish a dish to Lianna's grandpa. I forgot the word "goat" (for goat cheese-stuffed chicken) and ended up doing an impression of a goat to the delight of table 56. Served up five bottles of good wine, too. That was fun.

Then I clocked out and went over to the banquet facilities and had a free drink with some co-workers who got invited to that wedding. I ended up giving my rather inebriated friend Mark and his lovely wife a ride home in the shitty snowstorm.

Then, off to Styx for Lianna's B-day party. Played some mad pool.

Once I got home, I had a conversation with Kris on the phone, then an interesting one with Libby, and then Khad and Jeff came home from the club. After catching up with Khad, I got to sleep at about 5 am.

Next morning I went to my Brother's place north of Dexter to jam with my little nephews. It was fun--we learned "Beverly Hills" by Weezer. I got to take the guitar solo.

Then I went to work, and made fifteen bucks in tips. Shitty.

After work, I started reading on the couch, and then crashed at like, ~9:30. I've been up since about 4 am. I tried sleeping again, but to no avail. I've been reading, dicking around online, reconfirming that I have no food in the house, drinking mountain dew, chasing Effie around, and getting my bills together. I'm doing OK money wise, but I still want to start saving more.

Tonight I'm gonna go to Fejj's to play drums for some recording Lianna is doing for skool. I'll probably gather up some laundry, too, and try to get that done.

At some point I think Libby and I were gonna hang out, but that might not happen this week. I'd like to hang out at the Open Mic tonight, but I don't think I'll have the time/money/cash (I've been trying to spend only cash on bar/food/fun expenses, using my bank account strictly for bills and gas).

Sometime between work today (Paesano's at 11 am) and hanging with Lianna, I guess I might be taking Jeff to pay a couple of bills, and then to the bank (he owes me money, hee hee).

So all in all, I'm busy as balls this week. My manager at Polo Fields has noticed me coming to work straight from my other job, singing less, and being more eager to head home, so she scheduled me one day less each week. I was a little grumpy about it, but she might have a point. Maybe I am working a little too much, even if I do need the money to start saving. I'm only working a little over fifty hours (ish) a week, which I've done before, but things are a little hectic for me, and I could use a bit more time to clear my head and take care of shit.

It looks like the "jamming with guys from Polo Fields" thing is definitely going to happen. Here is the roster;

Steve: Owner of the studio converted from a chicken coop, older & very experienced Ann Arbor punkster turned ultra-cool business man and bartender, primarily guitar.
Dave: Black pantry chef, goofy bastard, has been a "pocket player" drummer for his church band for years.
Aaron: Our "houseman" (guy who sets up parties) he has drummed in a couple of bands, currently honing rhythm guitar skills.
Blake: Quiet banquet server, this stud is apparently a dynamo at blues lead guitar and vocals. Either Steve or Blake will likely "front" the band.
Paul: A laid back bartender, he has played jazz piano for years and is majoring in music.
Kenny: I will probably be playing primarily bass for this group, which is fine, though I hope I can work on drums, guitar, and possibly vox as well. I'm probably lower in raw talent compared to much of the group, but more versatile, and a decent writer.
Ryan and Davey(?): Budding young guitarists with great personalities, we will probably make room for these goofy fuckers somewhere in the lineup.

All in all, it's a group of a bunch of really cool and diverse musical talents, tastes, and abilities. This is the perfect opportunity for me to grow as a musician, to hang out with some of the coolest people from work, and my first real opportunity to become an improvisationalist/true co-writer. Boner.

Alrighty, I think I'm going to out to breakfast so that I have some fucking energy to start my long day.
