Character: Ran Fujimiya, goes by Aya
Fandom: Weiss Kreuz
Media: TV/Anime (PB Gackt)
Character Journal:
kendonobara Background:
Aya is a 24 year old with crimson red hair with forelocks and bangs and kept short in the back, deep amethyst eyes, 5 ft. 8 in, and quite toned yet not overly muscular, although he keeps in shape for the sake of his occupation. He has a slender gold earring in his left ear from the time he and Aya went to a festival.
Ran is the eldest of two children and lived a normal childhood. His parents were murdered and sister was hit by a car driven by Takatori's chauffeur, who was ordered to run the girl over. Aya, his sister, was left in a coma for years, and he took on her name to remember his vengeance. He then found his way to a group called Crashers before joining Weiss.
His position as leader may be due to being an elder brother who grew up too fast, and such an immediate responsibility to the care of his sister and seek revenge left him inclined to taking charge in the heat of things.
Aya knew his teammates were always trying to make him less stiff, through their own ways, and although he never showed it, he was grateful to them, for being like a family to him, which is why his guilt over not saving his teammate during their last mission still eats at him. Although he managed to salvage what he could of the blonde haired assassin, he wants to repent for the turmoil he caused. A leader should be able to protect their team, and in some way he failed.
Personality: Tends to distance himself by not having a big social life, preferring to focus on the reason he joined Weiss: to get revenge, and protect his sister. Of course along the way his reasons may have altered. He also has a fondness for strawberry short cake, or most things strawberry, but no one knows of that dirty little secret.
He keeps few friends, and ironically, lots of enemies. He is protective of those that are close to him, and willing to sacrifice some part of himself, be it his pride or feelings, to protect them. He would like to one day see his sister again, but knows that interfering in her life would only bring trouble.
Game Specific Info
What sort of room would you like your character to have in the hotel?
A single room.
What brings your character to the village? What does he need to learn/achieve, etc?
Aya is recovering from a stab wound sustained from the end of Gluhen while he was in New York City. He comes to the village to learn that life is more than blind revenge, guilt, and denial. He needs to learn to just...be Ran, and learn how to live again.
Does your character have any skills that might be utilised in the village?
He used to work in a flower shop, so he will make a good florist. Of course his swordsmanship is perfect.
Do you want your character to have a job? If so, what?
If he is able, and jobs are available, he can work in a flower shop, or for those really wanting a new challenge, he can run a kendo dojo.

100 words on why you want to play this character:
I think that Aya is a complicated character to play. His past is so sordid and dark, yet he lived life as any other normal teenager. Most see him as a cold, heartless bastard, but he is more methodical than anything. His motives for doing most things are quite questionable, but as an elder brother, the feeling of responsibility has never left him, and as such most do not question him. So in a way, I hope that I can make others, and himself, realize that he is human too, and not everything he does is perfect, but that being imperfect is not the end of the world.
Coming to Haurvatat is a chance for Aya to return to how he was, and hopefully manage to laugh and smile again.
Character based writing sample:
It was torture.
Aya found himself outside the flower shop, again, in order to visit his sister. But each time he got close, he never got past that phone booth across the street.
He had finally saved her from a seemingly endless slumber, and wanted to embrace her, tell her how happy he was to see her again. But he couldn't. He didn't want to taint her with the blood from the people he was ordered to murder. For years he convinced himself that it was just a mission, but he realized that it was more than a mission. It was murder. It was killing.
He didn't want her to come anywhere near that twisted world he surrounded himself in.
So he left.
It was time for them both to move on, and becoming only a shadow was easy enough for him. He wouldn't be missed. So Aya bought a ticket to New York, packed his belongings, which were meager to begin with, and left the archipelago known as Japan, a land known for it's vagueness yet directness.
The redhead wondered how life would be in the States...and if his fellow demons would follow him.
