I have come to the firm conclusion that I am a book addict. I can't go into a bookstore without taking something out. Also, it's only four days into the new year, and I've finished four books and read extensively in two others. And one of those books was a work of literary criticism - a collection of essays about The Chronicles of Narnia (there were some really good essays and some completely off the wall. I think my favorite was about the importance of food and eating to Narnia).
I'm also amused that now my writing shelf contains two books about the writing process, a dictionary (which yes, I do read for funsies), six books of literary criticism (two general, three science fiction, and the new one on Narnia), five encyclopedias (Werewolves and other animal-based evil creatures, Vampires and other human-based evil creatures, signs and symbols, a general magical creature compendium, and NASA's Encyclopedia of Space, and a book on selling fiction.
Screw Bella Swann, books are my personal brand of heroin.
