First day of teaching...
Since I have to keep a journal for class, I might as well keep it here. Today in school, I graded vocab quizzes for 9th graders (I couldn't believe some of them... I may sound elitist, but the words were ones I thought everyone knew), ran papers around for my supervisory teacher, made copies, and printed things. My teaching experience today came in the AP classes, where I gave a Power Point presentation on John Steinbeck. Since this is a public journal, I'll refer to my supervisor teacher as Mrs. M. Mrs. M really liked my presentation and had me save it onto her computer to use for future classes. I was definitely flattered. She's really nice, and I enjoyed talking with her. I had less student interaction today, seeing as how I was out of the class half the time running errands, but I'll probably get more as the week goes along.
Not too shabby for a first day, but I'm definitely wearing sneakers tomorrow instead of boots. My feet are burning. Also, might want to consider either bringing a mid-morning snack or eating a higher protien breakfast. Then again, feeling hungry is a very good sign for me.
