Introspective Fox is introspective

I am a fangirl. You all already know this, but I needed to say it. I am a fangirl. I have not outgrown my squeal, and I'm not sure I want to. I actually enjoy going all fangirl on a new show and overdosing on missed eps. I did it with Criminal Minds, the first four seasons of SG-1, and I'm sure there's more.

I kinda like being an adult fangirl. Reading all the fic I can get my hands on about my new show no longer makes me ashamed. It used to, when I lived with my parents. I'd carefully delete my browsing history every hour or so, just in case I had to close out quickly. I couldn't care less if my roommates read over my shoulder. Well, I would care that they were hovering, but not about the content. I like what I like. And, more often than not, it's not pr0n, no sex at all, usually.

As an adult, I also deal more with other adults in fandom. There are some older teens involved in the fandoms I enjoy, but they're a minority. So, calling someone out on a fail doesn't result in being banned and called a hater, unless you really are a hater, in which case, go die. It's FANDOM! We know that Cara and Kahlan have no future, we know that JJ and Emily really are just friends, WE KNOW. And yet, we still write and read and ship them. Because it's fun. And it's an escape from the day-to-day mundanities.

I am a fangirl. I reserve the right to squeal like the thirteen-year-old I once was at any time deemed appropriate. And I will, just ask my roommates.
