New job
I had my first day at Indymac Bank today - it was both pretty good and kinda disappointing. The good stuff: seem to be good people, very little telephone work, you can actually bring in a radio and listen to music on headphones if you want, you get an hour lunch plus two 10 minute breaks, they have free tea/cocoa/coffee/cider in the break room, there's a nice walking trail right outside the building, the work seems like it'll be pretty easy once I've learned it all, etc.
The bad part - the lady who is training me (whose job I'll be doing when she's gone after a week from Friday) is, well, coming back. Nobody TOLD me the woman would be gone only for 6 weeks. Yeah. So I have no idea what will happen after 2 months. The HR lady who called me in the first place definitely led me to believe that I would pretty much definitely be hired on permanently after my 90 days. So I dunno..but it's frustrating. I'll keep everyone updated!
On another note, Chris and I went to Golds Gym today for the first time as official members. We only have a 99 day membership right now, but it's fun :) It was more crowded than we'd seen before, but it wasn't bad. We're doing an A day and a B day like we did back in Florida, which is nice.
