Busy day!
Today was my first day back at work after my maternity leave - it was super hard to leave Fox, even though I knew he was in Chris' capable hands. It didn't help that Chris and I are both recovering from being sick (we caught the cold that was going around Chi's family down in Florida) and I'm not used to getting up so early, but mainly it just felt wrong to have to walk out the door and drive away from my little baby. I only had a half-day at work, though, because we had our final homestudy meeting with our adoption agency in Topeka! It's nice to have a "local" (it's an hour away) agency that we can actually meet in person. Now we've pretty much finished all of our homestudy requirements and its up to our social worker to do the write up and take care of a few other things. Then we can start working on the dossier (the official docs that get sent to Taiwan), and THEN we can be on the waiting list officially.
We're still trying to work out some kind of routine for when I'm at work - I imagine it will take awhile until we've really got something worked out that works for me, Chris AND Fox!
