Buy me

I guess I have to admit that I am an impoverish compulsive buyer. Just last night, my mom gave me my allowance for next week. Today, I already spent half of it. So help me God.

Cubao is my home. I grew up in this area for the first six years of my life until my parents decided to move in Pangasinan. Eleven years later, I returned. Like I was destined to live in this place. Like I have no choice but to stay and live. It was as if there is some conspiracy or elemental force.

Living in Cubao made me learn how to appreciate Cubao. Of course, there are a lot of things I hate about Cubao like the booming gay community (read: Palawan) and the increase of crime rate. Like what older people say, trust the familiar lands you walk for it will trust you back. But right now, I appreciate Cubao more than ever. Maybe it's because I was introduced to the underground. The underground. The places I go when no one sees me (or the places I go alone so I assume no one I know sees me) The booksale and the expo.

The booksale. It was the best thing I learned from Mike. For some unexplainable reasons, I think bookstore prices are expensive. So I settle to booksales. You won't see me in AS Walk looking for books but you can see me anywhere else looking for books. I just find the AS Walk booksale too mainstream. Overrated, I guess. Half of the books, I have are from booksale. The other half are borrowed or should I say never-to-be-returned.

The expo. Prof. Banal asked us to re-create a movie poster for our design class. The expo was the first thing that came in my mind. There I found the thrift shop that sells cheap 1940's stamps for only P5. Amazing eh? While looking for good ones, I saw a 1950's envelope. It was an ADMU Centennial envelope. I bought it for a relatively low price considering it's a collector's must-have for every blue-blooded Eagle. Suddenly I realize I won't need it for my assignment and I don't need it for obvious reasons.

So I am selling it. Buy it. Contact me. Haggle. Compromise
That is actually the point of the entry.
