Personality:
Genis is your average kid in many aspects. He can get a bit whiny, come off as a bit of a know-it-all, but is generally a good kid. He gets along well with most people, puts up with Lloyd’s antics, is an impressive student (he’d have to be, being Raine’s brother), and can give Regal’s cooking a run for the money. Between dropping a sarcastic comment or two, stuttering around Presea and getting into trouble with his sister, he’s pretty mature for a kid; able to acknowledge his prejudice against the humans who discriminate against his half-elf blood, and make it a point to strive for a world rid of racism.

Strengths:
Genis is young, and admittedly not very physically strong. His weapon of choice is a Japanese children’s toy called a kendama ORZ He is, however, a skilled mage, able to cast destructive spells like Indignation. But what he lacks in physical strength he more than makes up for with the mental. A child prodigy, Genis is known to be very intelligent, able to keep up with discussions with the scholars at Sybak. Emotionally, Genis has gone through more than a kid his age should be entitled to; his travels with Lloyd have ensured that. But Genis is a good kid at heart; he attempts to help a human woman named Marble from the Desians, and faces the consequences by joining Lloyd when he is exiled from Iselia, knowing he was partly responsible for it. Genis does his best to see the good in others, as evidenced when he still offers Mithos friendship (despite all that has happened), and in the second game, when he continues to have faith in Lloyd (even when circumstances seem to point elsewhere).

Weaknesses:
Genis is not physically strong in the literal sense, compensating his lack of strength with intellect and magic. But he’s only a kid, after all, and it wouldn’t be hard to knock him down (Provided one can get near enough to him. You’d have to get through Raine, first :/) He can also come off as overconfident - a byproduct of his intelligence - and doesn’t hesitate to remind Lloyd of it. But even Genis has moments where he can find nothing to say - being around Presea is enough to reduce him to incoherent stuttering. Perhaps one of his greatest weaknesses is in his half-elf blood, something he’s a bit insecure about. Because of the harsh discrimination he and his sister have been exposed to, Genis bears some resentment against humans, something he shares with Mithos. He knows better though, what with friends like Lloyd and Colette around to prove that not all humans are as bad as he may think
