work musings
Today was my second day as an official barista (as in, no longer training) and I had a 7 hour shift. So I got there and spent the first half of my shift helping on the bar and on register...about what I was expecting, I'm new so I don't get the fun jobs ^_^.
But then, after I'd taken lunch, I got to be on bar and almost as soon as I got to do that we were slammed! Some of the old hands say it was like it's going to be when we hit holiday season traffic. It was kind-of fun and exciting, apparently I keep my head well in that kind of high pressure situation (I got lots of compliments on how well I was doing from my coworkers)
So yes, I'm mostly enjoying work, with the big exception of those days I have to get up before 5am. >_>;;
