It was a house with many interesting occurrences.
In 1859 when it was built, there were lizards found within it's vicinity for several months. It was strange considering the house's location was on a mountain.
Then in 1904 a man was said to have leaped off the top of the mountain for a suicide attempt and came through part of the ceiling. The present owner was ironically eating dinner with someone interested in purchasing the house when the event occurred.
During the great depression the house was abandoned and a homeless man by the name of Varius Klum forged the documents of ownership and made the house his own.
Five years later in 1939, the true owner of the house (who had came to it's ownership through his father's will) came from Europe to stay in it. He expected it to be dilapidated but definitely not inhabited. Mr. Klum assumed it was the police and jumped off the side of the mountain. Though he did have a parachute to ensure his safety; during the depression there were many con-artists posing as Parachute salesmen and when he pulled the rope to release it, nothing happened. And so was the end of Varius Klum.
In 1955 the entire area of the mountain was turned into a national park and the house was to be leveled immediately. After the house was destroyed and the owner reimbursed, the construction crew found something very strange in the remaining foundation of the house. Supposedly there were still several families of lizards residing beneath the house from almost one hundred years earlier.
Most scientists' findings regarding the matter blame magic.
