To take into account all of last years profits.
A tumbleweed. A stack of mints. and. some shoe polish.

Nothing of any value but as a whole the company's spirits were lifted. I get the feeling that the company was waiting for something to lift it's spirits and got overly excited about the profits. Then after putting too much thought and time into the subject was utterly let down when a potential merger instead merged with Comcast highspeed internet. For a while the company waited until the papers between comcast and the potential merger were signed but still hoped the potential merger would reconsider. Then an informant of the company let me know about some transactions between Telecast and the potential merger that took place while the merger was expecting to merge with my company. It also came to my attention that the potential merger was already involved for a brief period with comcast before my company had brought about the initial merging idea. Now my company has decided that the potential merger has made it final that comcast is the correct choice for merging with. My company's spirits were let down but cigarettes were evenly distributed throughout the cubicles, which are no longer non-smoking, and business is going about as usual. Unfortunately my company still feels quite unmerged and wishes that no merging are potential merger ever had happened. It was really just a one night merge anyways.
