So, US air... so many delays. I had no less than 4 hours worth of delays. But finally I got to the hotel. I only had 3 drinks at the airport bars on the way. I mean, how else was I expected to wait with nothing to do? I mean... I was like "WWYD?" (What would Yukimura do).
At any rate, Linds and I had a great time while we waited around and I even went to a bar as Ted, and pranced around in my Gay Nazi boots. Then when everyone got there and we finished up some costuming stuff, we decided, "Hey! Why not take a few pictures tonight?". So we did. It was great until we got kicked out of our best spot. Which, they tried to do constantly over the con.
Friday we got up early and had a great time. I bought purple contacts for Harry, got a free ROD poster for Stanley. Then I took some pictures for Ania and of random things. Finally I bumped into James. We ran up 11 flights of stairs >o<;; And in those gay nazi boots with the huge heels too. It was awful. Anyhow, we had a lot of fun with the artists' alley.
So much to tell, so little time and space and attention span of others and even myself on hind-reading.
Long story short. Saturday with SDK was so much fun. I managed to grab Al from cosplay.com after the big shoot and so he ended up doing an awsome long photoshoot with us. I also had pictures of myself with 10 (although we ended up with 11) ninja replacements for the Sanada ju-yuushi. We had a ton of shots of us all doing crazy/wrong things in SDK. Also James ran Squall's elavator service for over 6 hours straight before having his elevator b-day party.
We played tag. Oh, and let us not forget the chibi tentacle monster! (Uwaaah!)
We got to bed by about 5 or 5:30am and got up at 7:30... although we all went back to bed for a bit. But we were all back up again for good by 9 at the latest. At least, Linds, Jax and I were. We went and took tons of photos for Scryed. We also ran into Al. I got worried about the time, I didn't think I could make it in time for my flight, so I called to find out if I could change the time. The main operator help guy was really nice, let me know when the next flight was and transfered me to the woman who could change my reservation. She was incredibly rude! She kept getting upset with me for everything and then was like "that'll cost 99.99" and I was like what? and it almost sounded like she then said 19.99, but I wasn't too sure. Anyways, she told me I had to have the reservations changed on the phone, not at the airport, and that I would have to go pay for the change there. Well, when I got there, it turns out that it WAS 99.99, and that I shouldn't have had to pay it. But the charge was locked in the system. I was so tired, and they made me wait for over an hour to try to fix it. They said if you're within 2 hours late there's no charge, and if you make a change, that it's never more than 25 dollars, which is what Brandon had told me. I think I'm going to listen to him and complain. Because after they, "sorted it out" very kindly for me (thank the gods I complained so much), and I got to the next plane and went to get my ticket with the code she'd put on my bording pass, I was told that it was a priority employee only code. So they spent another 25 minutes sorting out where I actually was in the system. Turns out, they'd put me on fucking standby!
Long story short, I eventually got home, where there was more bullshit. I got good food from Murasaki and Stanley and I ate most of it before we even got home.
Edit: For some reason we stayed up and watched some Due South so we went to bed a lot later than I'd hope. But now I'm suppose to be on my way to work, even though I'm only barely awake and starving. I was not gonna get up and make bento with this little sleep. I'll do chipotle for lunch or something. Hope I have a good day and that I am on the schedule to work.
Pictures will be posted up soon.
