Dance...

Feb 26, 2010 23:28

Brunei Night is in the corner and I still haven't perfect-ed my dancing yet. Kyaaaaaa!!!!! Guess what songs I will be dancing to? Not korean or japanese or even chinese songs...Wish they choose these songs..

My friends and the choreographers preferred more active, lively and exotic songs and so...

They chose Hindustans songs... For which the beats of the songs I really like... Hahaha, so random, but I truly love those drum rolling sounds. Although I found it's hard to twist your waist smoothly like those dancers in the Bollywood films - I managed to do some Bollywood dances such as those belly  dancing, but not as perfect as in the film though. Hehe... Yet intensive trainings are coming after today... Phew... Sigh~

And on the real day, we'll be wearing Indian dresses + bangles + anklets + the scarves... Hehe ^_^ So excited to wear them. Most of my friends bought the Churidars suits (s2.hubimg.com/u/681001_f520.jpg), and I think I'm the only who'll be wearing Salwar suits (sohailtailors.com/shop/images/fancy057.jpg). So what are the differences between these two? Anyone?

Basically, we're doing some mash-up songs from certain Bollywood films, but most part of our dances are to the song 'Bole Chundiyan...', from the film Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham. Part of the mash-up song are the chorus of the songs as followed:

SAY SHAVA SHAVA from KABHI KUSHI KABHI GHAM

MAHIVE from KAL HO NA HO

PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI from PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI

And most of the part: BOLE CHUNDIYAN from KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM

Have you found any similarities in the song? Bet you know why we love these songs, apart from their beats... Hahaha...

So Brunei Night is my next agenda, which will be held on Saturday night, 6th March 2010, in Imperial College London!

WISH ME LUCK GUYS!

p/s: Forget to tell that I passed my exams with 2:1 grades :D
