Yet, unfortunately for her, this abrupt change is only the beginning. . .

But I promised some faithful-readers that I’ll finish this story and I don’t want to disappoint them. I apologize for not uploading this last month; I made total changes on this chapter because I wasn’t satisfied with how it was. Gomen nasai! As an apology, I made this chapter a little longer than others. So, this is also my come-back offering story! DOZOU~!)
Btw, I don’t know if the title of this chapter fits the story itself. Hahaha! I’m not that good in making titles. Sorry.

CHAPTER 13: Closer.

MORNING COMES!
Because of the accident happened, Sam was being recommended by her doctor to stay at home rather than in the hospital. But she’s still not permitted to go to school. As to her 3 siblings, daily routine is still followed.
On the other hand, their Grandparents are in their personal office.
“Have you found the robber?” asked George-san through the phone.
“Good. I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.”
And he hung up.
Then his wife, Miyuki-san spoke. “It’s good to hear that they caught the robber that fast.”
“I’ll make sure that my grandchildren are safe no matter what.” He said in a low and very serious voice. “Anyways, I’ll leave first. Just call me when you get any news about the person who saved Sam’s life.”
Miyuki-san smiled. “Sure.”
* * *
Meanwhile at Horikoshi, time runs so fast and students did not notice that it was already lunch time.
“Toni! How’s your Onee-chan?” Yuna asked as she sits beside Yuri, while Shizune sits infront of them.
Yuri eats a mouthful of food before she answered Yuna.
“Hmm..” she swallowed. “Oh! She’s fine. It seems like she wasn’t been almost killed last night. She’s eating a lot, like there’s no tomorrow. And aside from the crazy laughs she released last night - she’s fine! Perfectly fine.” She said sarcastically.
Yuna and Shizune both laughed.
“Ne, your One-chan is so cool. I would love to meet her one of these days.” Said Yuna.
“Never mind meeting that girl. It will just be a waste of your time.” Yuri talked even though she’s still munching.
And Karma at its best - she got choke!
Yuna fortunately gave her a hard slap on her back. “Always remember: Don’t talk when your mouth is full.”
Yuri coughs. “Yeah. Thanks! But that sure hurts.” She meant the slap that Yuna gave her not 5 seconds ago.
“Ne…” Shizune interrupted. “I miss Yama-chan.”
Yuri stared at her. Shizune’s total randomness again~
And Yuna’s expression goes sour. Here she goes again…
Shizune’s face went sad and it looks like she is going to cry any seconds from now. “I feel like it’s been years since I last saw him.”
Yuna rolled her eyes. Unfortunately, she can’t take anymore the melodramatic side of Shizune especially when it’s about Yamada. “Ano…Shizune. Would you stop acting like Yamada’s the only guy in this entire universe?”
Shizune pouted. “Well. Yuna. Sorry for being so insensitive. But don’t you think it’s just fair that the only guy for me in this world is Yamada and as for you…there’s Yuto!”
“NANI?!” Yuna’s eyes widened. “Hey Shizune! That is so out of proportion!”
That was something she did not expect to come.
“Well you started it.” Shizune starts eating her lunch.
Ne, Yuna. Patience is a Virtue. Yuna tried to smile.
“Okay. I’m sorry. Let’s just forget what we talked about and let’s start eating.”
Shizune then look at Yuri. “Ne Yuri, don’t you think that Yamachan….?”
“Speaking of that “Yama-chan” of yours.” Yuri stood up, interrupting.
Both of her friends stopped from whatever they were doing and look at her in question.
“I need to attack him…” she shook her head. “Iie, I mean I need to talk to him. Ittekimasu!” and without any word came from Shizune and Yuna’s mouth, Yuri was gone with the wind.
“What’s wrong with her?!” Shizune asked a little bit pissed. But Yuna just shrugged not wanting to comment. “She always ignores what I say! Yuri Wa Baka! She even left her lunch here without even finishing it.”
Yuna peep on Yuri’s lunch. “Her food looks good. I’ll try one.”
Without any second thoughts, she randomly picked one of Yuri’s foods.
“EHH?!” her eyes widened for the second time “Oishii~!”
Shizune on the other hand could only look at her in disbelief. She did really eat it without asking permission from the owner itself.
“Want some?” Yuna offered.
What the! She even has the guts to offer it to me. No doubt that you and Yuri became friends - many similarities indeed. Shizune could only laugh.
“Excuse me? What’s so funny?” Yuna asked.

Yuri knocked first before entering Section D’s room.
The door slide opens. And it took seconds before the students noticed that there was an intruder.
“Excuse me!” she exclaimed. “Can I ask for a Yamada Ryosuke here? I just need to talk to him.” She plainly said. Okayy..was that the right words to say? Hmm..whatever!
Every known people on that room stared at her in disbelief. Not sure if it was a disbelief of asking Yamada as if she’s ordering some food from a fast-food chain or suddenly entering their room like she was a classmate of theirs.
Silence makes way and the students didn’t stop staring at her.
Why are they looking at me like that? Yuri shuddered.
But before the silence and scary stares makes Yuri go crazy. A very cute and familiar girl stood up and breaks that silence.
“He went outside. I guess he’ll be back in a couple of minutes. You can wait for him if you want.”
Yuri felt awkward. “Ah..thanks.”
As she looked at the girl she knew that she had already seen her. But when and where? I can’t remember.
“If you don’t mind me asking…what’s your name?” Yuri asked while giving her sincerest smile.
“Shida Mirai desu.” She replied with a bow.
Yuri stared at her for 1 whole minute. Oh yeah! Now I remember her. She’s the girl whom Yamada had brought to Noriko’s bakeshop. Yuri thought. Damn, she’s so polite. No doubt why Yamada’s dating her. But I can’t believe that this girl is going out with that GUY! Tsk! Did he use some kind of a magic spell or witchcrafts?
“Ah! Hajimemashite Mirai-san.” Yuri bowed.
Shidai smiled at her and asked, “Are you a friend of him?”
Yuri shook her head so hard. “Iie! I’m not! I mean, not really. But no.”
Hey! What’s wrong with me?!
“Oh. I see.” I think I’ve seen her somewhere. She’s seems familiar.
“Anyway, thanks again. I’ll just wait for him outside.”
Not wanting to make herself a total fool, Yuri slowly moves backwards getting herself ready to go out. And as soon as her body’s out of the boundary line of Section D’s room, she slowly closes the door. Yuri let out a sigh and turned her back not expecting on what she could possibly see.
“WAAAHHHHH!!!” she screamed but no more than 10 seconds. She covered her mouth w/ both hands.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!” Yamada asked angrily, didn’t like Yuri’s reaction at all.
Yup, the only person who can make Yuri screamed that hard - Yamada Ryosuke. The person she has been looking for not awhile ago is now standing infront of her without any prior notice. If it wasn’t because of the ‘secret job’ she has, she wouldn’t owe something from this guy and she herself wouldn’t be bothering finding someone who she hates so much.
“Yo!” Yuri salutes. It’s weird but now that Yamada’s infront of her she didn’t know what she should say. “Hehe..sorry. Just shocked because you were already at my back without any notice ya’ know.”
Yamada raised a brow. “Yeah right. As if I did not notice that reaction of yours everytime you accidentally saw me or bumped to me.”
“Really?” Yuri asked, not believing a thing. “Good thing you notice that.”
“So what do you want now?”
One thing that Yamada knows about Yuri - this girl only comes to him voluntarily when it needs something that has to do with her job and nothing more. About her job to him, eventhough she’s doing it - she’s doing it forcibly plainly because she knows she owes something.
“I want to you to know what happened to me yesterday at your house, young man.”
“Rooftop.” And Yamada Ryosuke left.
Yuri frowned. “Here we go again…”
Just as Yuri left to follow Yamada. Chinen and Yuto also arrived from their lunch.
Yuri? Chinen thought as he saw a girl who just turned at the left corridor.
When both of them entered the room, Yuto noticed that Yamada is nowhere to find. So he asked one of his classmates who’s just near to where they are seated.
“Umika-chan. Have you seen Yamada?”
“Hi Chinen!” Umika greeted, completely ignoring Yuto’s presence. But Chinen only smiled back.
Yuto sneers. Yo girl! Nice talking.
Then Umika turned on Yuto’s part.
“Oh.” She blinked. “Hi Yuto! You’re there.”
“Yeah! I’m here.” Yuto said. “Good thing you've now notice.”
Umika smiled. “At least you should have talked, for me to notice you.”
You sure are deaf. “So, have you seen Yama-chan?” he asked again.
Umika nods. “Yeah. He was with this girl from Section A.”
“Girl? From section A?” Yuto asked. He couldn’t think of anyone from section A that would have a guts to talk to Yamada.
“Uh-huh. But I don’t know who she is.” She turned again to Chinen and asked, “How was your lunch Chinen-kun?”
Chinen’s face went serious. So it was Yuri after all. And completely ignores Umika and turned away.
Yuto grins and thought - Lesson: Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you…hehe!
- On the Rooftop -
“So what happened yesterday that you even bother going to our room?” Yamada asked Yuri.
Yuri squats on the floor.
“You’re squatting?! The floors not even clean!” Yamada cried.
“Concern much?”
“I don’t think so. I’m more concern on the floor.”
Yuri sneered.
Yamada released a sigh. “Anyway, spill it.”
“Well, after you told me that I should just go home…” she continued. “I almost got killed.”
“You what?!” Yamada’s eyes widened.
“Your fans are crazy.” She said as-a-matter-of-fact. “And I really thought I wouldn’t get out alive on that house of yours.”
That’s when Yamada also squats beside Yuri, and said. “Sorry about that.”
Geez… What’s with him? Yuri couldn’t help but wonder why Yamada Ryosuke sat beside her and even said sorry about what happened. This guy never says sorry! Definitely not on me.
Slowly and carefully, Yuri moves to her right side to keep distances from Yamada.
“Yesterday was Monday right?” he asked.
She stopped. “Yeah. It was.”
“Sou ka.” And he looked up. “I forgot to tell you that every Monday a lot of my fans does go to our house.”
“Maji?! You gotta be kidding me.”
Yamada glared at her. “Do I look like I’m joking?”
Yuri cleared her throat. “I mean, why do they come to your house when they can always come to your shows and concerts?”
“I don’t know. Maybe because they’re not contented?”
Yuri raised a brow. What?
“You know how popular I am.” He said it as if it’s normal. “And I know how badly they want to see me every minute, every second. Seeing me just in my shows and concerts is not enough. And I can’t blame them for that.”
Yuri glared at him. She don’t like the way these conversation goes. Say something like that again and I’m gonna throw my shoes unto your unscratched pale face! And I really don’t care if your fans will kill me for doing it.
“So that maybe the reason why they go to our house, I guess.” Yamada shrugged.
“You guess?” Yuri gave him an annoyed look. “I feel sorry for your fans.”
Yamada stared at her. “And why’s that?”
“Because they didn’t know how stupid you are.” She said flatly.
“S-s-stupid?”
Yuri nods. “Uh-huh”
Whatever. There’s no point in arguing w/ this person. Yamada sighs. “Well, I can’t blame you for calling me stupid.”
“Yup! Of course.” Yuri agreed. Then she froze. “What?”
“I mean, even my sisters told me that I’m stupid.” He smiled. “I bet that’s one of my characteristics that I’m not conscious to. That’s why I’m getting used of you calling me stupid.”
5 seconds silence~
And it hit Yuri!
“You’re sick, are you?” she put her hand on Yamada’s forehead.
Yamada stiffened. No girl has ever touched him, well aside from her mother. Suddenly his face blush in redness and to Yuri it seems like he was really sick and not feeling well.
“I’m not sick!” Yamada removes Yuri’s hand from his forehead.
But Yuri wasn’t listening and touch Yamada’s forehead again, this time: longer.
“You’re red and sweating. You’re totally sick.”
This had made Yamada blush more. Why do I feel like I’m going to faint any seconds from now? Is it because of her touch? You gotta be kidding me!
“You’re not looking good.”
“Maybe if you’ll stay your hand away from my head, I’ll be feeling much better.” He said sarcastically. But he was now sweating a lot and he was having fast palpations. What’s wrong w/ me?!
And she’s still not listening to him. “I’m calling the school nurse, right now. And I’m going downstairs.”
“WHAT?!”
“If you feel like fainting right now, don’t dare do it!” she warned. “Compare to your size, I can’t basically carry you down to the clinic.”
Yamada signed. Geez, this girl still has the guts to piss me off. And how on earth did she know that I feel like fainting?
“You’re a total freak, you know that.”
“Call me freak. But I’m calling the nurse.”
Yuri stands up and is now heading the door. But Yamada caught her hand. Surprised, Yuri stiffened.
“Don’t go.”
Yuri stared back and forth to Yamada’s face and her hand.
Yamada was now only staring at Yuri’s hand. Am I really holding this girl’s hand? And did I just say those words to her? Now I’m getting sick.
When suddenly, someone opened the door…

Yamada (still holding Yuri’s hand) and Yuri stared at the familiar figure now standing infront of them.
“Chinen!” they said in unison.
Chinen Yuri smiled, but glance at Yamada’s hand holding Yuri’s hand. They’re together again.
The three of them sure makes a very interesting scene.

“Yesterday was Monday right?” he asked.
She stopped. “Yeah. It was.”
“Sou ka.” And he looked up. “I forgot to tell you that every Monday a lot of my fans does go to our house.”
“Maji?! You gotta be kidding me.”
Yamada glared at her. “Do I look like I’m joking?”
Yuri cleared her throat. “I mean, why do they come to your house when they can always come to your shows and concerts?”
“I don’t know. Maybe because they’re not contented?”
Yuri raised a brow. What?
“You know how popular I am.” He said it as if it’s normal. “And I know how badly they want to see me every minute, every second. Seeing me just in my shows and concerts is not enough. And I can’t blame them for that.”
Yuri glared at him. She don’t like the way these conversation goes. Say something like that again and I’m gonna throw my shoes unto your unscratched pale face! And I really don’t care if your fans will kill me for doing it.
“So that maybe the reason why they go to our house, I guess.” Yamada shrugged.
“You guess?” Yuri gave him an annoyed look. “I feel sorry for your fans.”
Yamada stared at her. “And why’s that?”
“Because they didn’t know how stupid you are.” She said flatly.
“S-s-stupid?”
Yuri nods. “Uh-huh”
Whatever. There’s no point in arguing w/ this person. Yamada sighs. “Well, I can’t blame you for calling me stupid.”
“Yup! Of course.” Yuri agreed. Then she froze. “What?”
“I mean, even my sisters told me that I’m stupid.” He smiled. “I bet that’s one of my characteristics that I’m not conscious to. That’s why I’m getting used of you calling me stupid.”
5 seconds silence~
And it hit Yuri!
“You’re sick, are you?” she put her hand on Yamada’s forehead.
Yamada stiffened. No girl has ever touched him, well aside from her mother. Suddenly his face blush in redness and to Yuri it seems like he was really sick and not feeling well.
“I’m not sick!” Yamada removes Yuri’s hand from his forehead.
But Yuri wasn’t listening and touch Yamada’s forehead again, this time: longer.
“You’re red and sweating. You’re totally sick.”
This had made Yamada blush more. Why do I feel like I’m going to faint any seconds from now? Is it because of her touch? You gotta be kidding me!
“You’re not looking good.”
“Maybe if you’ll stay your hand away from my head, I’ll be feeling much better.” He said sarcastically. But he was now sweating a lot and he was having fast palpations. What’s wrong w/ me?!
And she’s still not listening to him. “I’m calling the school nurse, right now. And I’m going downstairs.”
“WHAT?!”
“If you feel like fainting right now, don’t dare do it!” she warned. “Compare to your size, I can’t basically carry you down to the clinic.”
Yamada signed. Geez, this girl still has the guts to piss me off. And how on earth did she know that I feel like fainting?
“You’re a total freak, you know that.”
“Call me freak. But I’m calling the nurse.”
Yuri stands up and is now heading the door. But Yamada caught her hand. Surprised, Yuri stiffened.
“Don’t go.”
Yuri stared back and forth to Yamada’s face and her hand.
Yamada was now only staring at Yuri’s hand. Am I really holding this girl’s hand? And did I just say those words to her? Now I’m getting sick.
When suddenly, someone opened the door…

Yamada (still holding Yuri’s hand) and Yuri stared at the familiar figure now standing infront of them.
“Chinen!” they said in unison.
Chinen Yuri smiled, but glance at Yamada’s hand holding Yuri’s hand. They’re together again.
The three of them sure makes a very interesting scene.
