Just more updates

So I signed my contract today.  I signed on for six years because the sign on bonus went from 3k to 13k for six years.  Granted, I don't get it until after I finish technical school, but I will be able to use that money to pay off my truck and still have a little over 5k.  I plan to use some of that money to throw into savings, and the rest I'd I will probably use to go on vacation somewhere.

I have been excersizing my rear off!  I had been having difficulty losing weight, basically yo-yoing around 188lbs, which is over my max.  So I've stopped eating red meat during the week, only eating turkey and chicken, and veggies, and I've also started working out on my lunches.  So now I am biking 30 minutes in the morning, then taking 20 minutes to do some bag work and body excersizes on my lunch, and then I'm either running or doing kettlebell on the evenings (unless megan is home in which I don't work out).  Since starting this last week I've already lost 3lbs, so I am hoping I can keep this up.  I am also incredibly sore, and drinking water like there is no tomorrow.  I think it will be worth it when I can get way under my max and have my recruiter off my back.

I had a great 4th of July.  Megan and I both had the day off so we went out to Mulligan's for lunch.  Then we went to Slugger's and Putters where I defeated Megan in the go-karts and bumper boats, but she beat me in golf.  I do have an excuse, in that I went on the rock wall before playing golf so my arms were all wobbily.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  After that we watched a movie and drove around the neighborhood looking at the firework shows.  All in all a very good night.

I've recently attracted two more addictions.  Coke Zero (and it's various counterparts including Vanilla flavor)  and Lord of the Rings Online.  Coke Zero tastes exactly like regular coke, but I think it tastes better because I don't get that syrupy aftertaste.  Lord of the Rings Online is a lot like World of Warcraft in that it's very simple to play, but I love the stories and the quests.  I'm not sure how it's different than WoW but it is for me.  Perhaps it's because the people i've met speak decent english, or it's that I'm a huge Tolkien fan, and I am totally geeking out over meeting people that were in the books.  Also...I love killing orcs with my Hunter.  Really I think I have a problem.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th, and those who still read my corner of the internet, safe travels.
