The most talkative cat in the world
An interesting comment from Jules has sparked this post while I wait for more data to come in on the project I'm working my arse off on currently. Elle (my cat) is quite possibly the most talkative cat, ever. She really does tell you, through little meows, purrs, chirps, yowls, and any other noise she can come up with (and are impossible to describe) exactly what she feels/wants at any given time. Her two-toned, high-to-low "But I'm HUUUUUUUUUNGRY" is possibly the cutest of the lot. She starts off with a couple of chirps that, to quote multiple people who have heard it, sound very much like the words "food now" with a bit of an accent. Often said while she's standing in front of the kitchen. If you look at her and tell her "No" she'll put on her "Poor, deprived kitty" face and beg with a loud, descending in tone yowl that is remarkably similar to a little kid yelling "But I'm hungry!" God she's adorable.
Thankfully I've been able to get a bit of that extra chub off her stomach, bringing her closer to fitness and more proper weight. Even being a bigger breed of cat she didn't need to be as heavy as she was. Don't listen to her tell you about it though, because she'll tell you she's being held by some cruel dictator who refuses to give her more than three meals of wet food and a mere full dish of dry a day. A day! How can someone survive on three meals a day and snacks? ;-)
Sorry for the semi-random post, I just wanted to talk about my cat today. It's so awesome to have her around. And now, back to work!
