Moments where it all makes sense

Ever had one of those moments where you realize that yes, you are in fact doing things right?  Just had one of those.  Got an invite to lunch from the VP of Sales in the office as a thank you for some of the work I've been doing.  To me, I'm just doing my job, but it's nice to know that I'm doing the right job for good people.  Makes you feel good about yourself.

Of course, I had another of those moments this last weekend.  While spending it with Chelsea.  We got caught in a minor snowstorm on the pass while going to and from her Saturday Improv performance.  I wound up driving on the way back due to my experience driving in snowstorms (chalk another one up on the boards!).  While driving Chels' mom said something along the lines of "I've got 2 people's darling babies in the car, I don't want anything to happen to them."  Something about this struck deep into me and started the brain working.  The result took a few days to surface, but when it came it sparked another of those "Yeah, this is right" moments.  I really do want to have a family.  Maybe not right this second, but I'm getting closer and closer to that point where I'll be ready to do so.  It's that fact, that I'm moving towards having a family and being able to support one, that feels right.  That life is, in fact, going the right way.

Moving on to more mundane news, the new computer is up and running.  Gods yes, a new computer has been needed for a while.  Playing the latest and greatest is really fun again.  I've named the new machine RoboRommel (Robo from Chrono Trigger, Rommel is...well...Rommel) as a salute to tradition and a great general.  Sins of a Solar Empire has now ensnared me completely.  This is another of those games like Civ IV where you lose not hours, but days and weeks to the game.  Have to be careful with this one.

Spokane is officially too far from Seattle.  I propose we move it closer by approximately 250 miles.  All opposed?  Nobody?  Great, you guys get started on that, I'm going to go back to programing in Excel.  I expect you to be finished by this evening.  Thanks.  ^_^
