Working on survival

Life is really good right now.  Just sections of my body are rather displeased with the schedule I'm running these days.  Specifically, my left shoulder and my legs.  Unfortunately, they've got legitimate complaint.

I've dropped my soccer schedule down to two games a week (with a possible third on Sundays).  Game nights are Tuesday and Wednesday though, so there's no healing time between games.  Especially if I don't have an appetite after the Tuesday game, leaving me short energy when I start the Wednesday game.  Well, I signed up for it.  Just going to have to power through until either I break or get back into really good shape.

On the soccer front, my two teams are totally split on ability.  The Entellium team (Tuesday) has tons of positive spirit, lots of camaraderie, and very little skill.  We've now lost our first two games and it doesn't seem to matter to the guys.  They're just out having fun.  Cats go Meow (Wednesday) has good spirit and a decent amount of skill, but very little of the joi de vie the Entellium guys show.  It's an interesting dichotomy to play.  Also, the Cats are winning games.

In other news, I submit my application to adopt a cat this evening.  I'll have a meeting with the adoption specialist probably tomorrow.  I'd be meeting cats this weekend if I wasn't headed over to Spokane.  Trust me, it's worth it to see Chelsea.

Speaking of whom, I miss her.  Things are going quite well, but it's hard to be so far from one that you love.  Talking to her every night isn't quite the same as seeing her every other day.  Again, I signed up for it and I don't regret it at all.  Just wish I got to see her more.
