New friends, busy life
Okay, it’s been damn near a month. There’s a reason for this. It’s called my schedule.
I’ve been playing an average of 4 soccer games a week for this month. Three of those games on weeknights. Which leaves only one weeknight for getting things done (Friday’s will NEVER be a working night). Weekends are, of course, meant to be spent doing things. And they have been! Kenna’s 21st, all-weekend parties with Fish and the crew, going out with Evo and meeting more awesome people than I knew were in this area, things of that nature. Blogging just hasn’t been a priority in the evenings. ;-)
Speaking of Evo, they’re an awesome group. Been spending most of my time that isn’t eaten by soccer or out-of-town events with them, doing anything from drinking and talking about soccer to drinking and dancing. That group drinks more than I’m used to these days. Which is fine, it’s nice to have someone to go out with on the weekend nights I’m in town. Fish works on the weekends, so he’s out of those plans for the most part. I don’t know how long I’m going to be able to survive the pace I’m going at though, I can feel my body getting ready to rebel and get injured. Slowing down is so much less fun though!
Winter is coming though, so I need to adjust the schedule. Evo has convinced me to go skiing with them on a regular (read: constant) basis, so I’m going to sharpen up the skis and go fly down mountains. Like I’m going to complain about that.
Overall, life is awesome right now. Just…awesome. Good friends, good times, great job, and a minimal number of curveballs courtesy of Murphy. Which I appreciate, let me tell you. Appreciate like a reason to go 100+ on a trip over the pass (cute girl). Not that I would ever do such a thing… ^_^
