I started having a slightly irregular heartbeat and getting shaky, so around 12:00 I decided I was useless and should leave work instead of crying into tissues. I waited around for about 20 minutes before leaving in order to stop feeling faint, and was ok to drive home after I got off the Metro and walked (very slowly) to my car. After getting home I did more detox stuff. Since then I haven't had as much in the way of mental symptoms, but my legs are still sort of numb below mid-thigh, my fingers are tingly, my heart either thumps or races, and I occasionally break out in a cold sweat.
I've become convinced that I should call and leave my doctor a message. I know that these are all reasonable Lyme symptoms, so I'm sure it's not a reaction to the medicine itself or anything, but it looks like I will need to cut down on the Rifampin for now because it's stirring things up too much. Two steps forward, one step back. :( I had been hoping to finish up treatment around the same time as I quit my job (and company health insurance), but it doesn't look like it now.
