Kindness is a Virtue

Compassion
“Scrub him and dress him and carry him to Kingspyre, if need be,” Qyburn said. “Lord Bolton insists he will sup with him tonight. The time is growing short.”
“Bring me clean garb for him,” Brienne said, “I’ll see that he’s washed and dressed.”
The others were all too glad to give her the task.

Compassion is one of Brienne strongest traits, and one she is rightfully given credit for across fandom. I think it says something about people’s perceptions of women that they are always able to give her credit for her compassion, but not the other traits such as smarts. (But seeing this about celebrating Brienne I am not going to elaborate further).

Brienne's ability for kindness is on display the most when she is with Jaime after he is maimed. She really had no reason to like Jaime at this point, yet she still helps care for him and gives him the pep talk he needed to keep living. I don’t think there are many (or even any) other characters that would help Jaime the way Brienne does. Not with his reputation and the way he has mocked her during their trip. She is able to show her compassion later in AFFC too, and I think this shows something about her inner strength as well. So many characters in ASOIAF give up their compassion once things start going badly, but Brienne never loses hers.
