so quickly, i am not sure what to make of quentyn and feel he is very naive to believe he will marry dany. especially since he gives me the impression of not having much confidence.
i normally found the bran chapters a bit boring in the other books but these have me riveted. and what's up with grrm and his love of little people :) so the children of the forest are midgets, i'm guessing. not sure what to make of that. but i found the old one fascinating. i look forward to seeing how hbo brings these things to the screen.
and no, dany doesn't seem to be able to control those dragons. makes me remember all of the dying maester's words about if only he were a few years younger. there seems to be knowledge needed that dany doesn't have. but there is that other maester from the citadel that left as soon as he met up with hon so help is on the way. maybe...
and theon! goodness, i am really all for comeuppance but found his pov hard to stomach. all puns intended! i know torture occurs but reading about what's happened to him in bolton's dungeon is hard for me. wuss that i am.

I am having so much trouble getting this book read too! The other ones in the series I was in the middle of the semester so I had a lot of free time, but now there are so many things to do and distractions.
It really is a shame that Aemon will not be able to help Dany, he would have been a great adviser.
