Suzy Darling wasn’t very rock and roll.
Henry Mallet was a rock ‘n’ roll legend
She liked to eat healthy, only drank in moderation and she liked sensible shoes.
He did everything to excess, and frequently woke up missing his shoes.
She kept to herself, never saying what she really thought.
He spewed forth every emotion and idea on a stage for the world.
Suzy was the responsible member of the family.
Henry ran away from any kind of responsibility.
She did what was expected of her.
He was expected to do the unexpected.
Suzy exercised when she was stressed, scared or angry.
Henry went on another binge, hoping to blot it out.
She had tried keeping a diary once, but didn't know what to write.
He wrote songs that people used as personal anthems.
Suzy had never left Australia
Henry had toured the world
She had only ever been with her husband.
He had a string of groupies for his every whim.
Suzy Darling had left her husband to find herself,
she ended up finding her best friend.
Henry Mallet had walked away from everything for a new start,
he didn’t know that start was 30 years in the future.
He was her rock.
She was learning how to roll.
