Iron River

Well, I found an apartment in Iron River. Dave and I checked out the town last friday, and ended up in a pretty fun goose chase before we ended up finding a place. We first met up with a guy who had a little one bedroom efficiency place, that was ok, but, for the price he was asking, wasn't that thrilling to me. So, we told him we'd think about it and call him back soon one way or the other. We then got a tip from the grocery store manager to check out the 'yooper reality' (i laughed at that name) to see if they had any idea of who was renting. So, we headed over there and met a really nice group of people. The owner of yooper reality said that he didn't know of anything off the top of his head, but one of his employees piped up with 'well, how about the golden bow??' The golden bow is this little cutesy store about a block and a half down from the realitors, that has apartments on the top 2 floors. We thanked them, and headed over to see what we could find out. Long story short, these apartments are AMAZING. The one on the third floor has all hard wood, and skylights in parts of it. The price is outrageous, BUT, unlike the first place, it's worth it. So...I (once again) am going to take out a RIDICULOUS loan so I can live in this really cool, old, quaint, apartment that's only about 2 miles away from the hospital. :) I'm excited about it. If I have to spend half a year away from marquette and Dave, at least I want to spend it in an apartment that completely rocks.

In other news, I have a new bike, courtesy of Dan and Linda Beauchamp. (Dave used to live with them and Dan tinkers with bikes)
