further note: this was my first time using a new program - i have decided i hate this program almost just as much as i hate moviemaker (i didn't think it was possible, either!)
learning a new program always takes time and work... probably i should have started messing with it more than 3 days before the trial expired, but i am glad i didn't pay money for this - playback is dodgy, which isn't unusual, but after rendering the audio got skewed somehow and it scattered random flashframes throughout (i checked the project timeline and they weren't there so i couldn't get rid of them)
saving the project was also a bitch - not sure if that's just b/c it was a trial version or what, but i had to transcode it to a different file for it to even work
anyway, thumbs down to sony vegas
ETA: reposted the vid, fixed most of the flashframes, but i still couldn't find them all! had to render and save it SEVEN TIMES to get the video/audio to be in sync! i'm borrowing all your thumbs and pointing them down at sony vegas
