Mirror dinghy

Emigrating.

Do not need to take wooden Mirror Dinghy.

Have a sail bag with sails, road trolley (one tyre flat) and launch trolley, good cover.

Not sure if all the rigging is there - may be the odd bit missing.

Anyone interested?

Emigrating?

Overseas?

And you're not sailing to your new home in your trusty Mirror?

I was wondering why she's not packing all her luggage in the bilges, and then sailing over the Channel and up a handy canal or two.

(OK, I've sailed off the East Anglian coast in both a Fleetwind and a Wayfarer, and I'm not sure I'd want to take either of those across the Harwich/Hoek route, let alone a Mirror which is appreciably smaller than either. No, let me recast that sentence: I'm sure I'd not want .... Hmm, I see that some eejit sailed to Iceland in a Wayfarer.)

so - in addition to asking Blizz for a 36 slot fishing bag, I want them to implement a sailing skill.... Mirrors are white items, lasers are green, just think of the purps...

Where is their suggestion box again?

This?

(Surprisingly easy to helm, even in a gale. Now, I wouldn't be afraid of taking her across the North Sea, not seeing as I crewed her in the Atlantic.)

Hee, good old Malcolm Miller. Shame I only got involved with the TSYT-that-was-STA after they'd sold the schooners.

But the brigs are nice, too, and the Challengers look exciting (only sailed a single fairly calm day on one of those, so far).

I will never forget sailing from Southampton, down to St Malo and Brest, and then back to Brighton.

(Lot of rocks in the St Malo approaches, an awful lot.)

One of these days, I must do the pay-forward, and sponsor someone for a trip.

Or go again yourself, or, even better, do both! ;-)

Supporting the charity, and the summer schedule.

It'd have to be 2011 at the earliest, what with finances and time.

I crossed the North Sea in something considerably smaller - although larger than a Wayfarer. I was not a good sailor - 8 of the 12 hours were sheer torture, of the long agonising talk/shout/sing to Neptune kind
