Away for a while more

Dear friends and readers...

I am currently in Paris for shoots. Sorry for the lack of updates but its been a truly busy period.

The shoots here have been very meaningful so far. The experience in Geneva was unforgettable. Leo and Keri were really hospitable and warm. It made leaving the city of Geneva just that much more difficult. I can also see why Keri's not intent on returning to Singapore. =)

Jacquelyn Law and Alwin are with me here in Paris. So are fellow wedding photographers Bryan and Jean. They are here for their own shoot later this weekend. It's nice to have so much company for a change. I have never been alone throughout this Paris leg.

Shoots-wise, the past week has been pretty tiring for Jacq and I though. We have shot for 2 couples and there are 3 more to go. We had a break today but have 3 shoots coming up over the next few days.

Shooting for the last two couples have been such a meaningful experience. The first couple, Ray and Lydia, look really good together! They were also extremely fun to shoot for. Where ever we went around Paris, they were a hit with the tourists!

The second couple, Yanni and Eng Hwa, were celebrating their 10th anniversary with a photoshoot in Paris with their 4 year old son, Rayjin. Ray is quite a riot! He is so so adorable. I only wish we had Beth, Kyra and Nessya with us! =) Kyra would have a blast with this guy. He is so cheeky and funny. Very likeable. I am unsure if Jacq would agree tho. Half the time she was chasing him and carrying him! Ha! I have never seen her so tired! No boys for her she said if she ever was gonna have kids! Hahah... I also thought it was really sweet to have Eng Hwa fully supportive of Yanni's plan to do this photoshoot in Paris. After all, that's where they met, at the Arc de Triomphe.

More on the two shoots and images at the Lightedpixels Blog, www.lightedpixelsblog.com, in the coming days.

The break today was pretty eventful. We spent the morning waiting for Alwin's arrival only to miss him by 15 mins because he got a little lost! =)

Thank goodness we eventually met up with him in the hotel. It's the guy's first trip to Paris and I must admit for the first time visitor, directions around the city can be alittle intimidating especially when almost everything is in french!

We basically spent the whole day shopping at the outlet mall (where Longchamp bags are at a pretty good discount) and shopping along Rue St Honore, where the flagship Hermes store is. Ever since, I posted about a year back on the hunt for a Birkin ( kelvinkoh.livejournal.com/tag/birkin), I have had a few requests to help purchase them. Today, I left Hermes with a 35cm Beige Canvas with White Leather top. It's a classic Hermes canvas bag and it's a real looker. I actually quite like it! More on that and pictures to follow soon on a separate blog entry!

Meanwhile, here's an image I found off the web (albeit from a site that sells replicas!)
