i had to go on birth control as a prerequisite for accutane (no dolphin babies here, thanks).

pros:  +1 bra cup size.
cons:  the persistent urge to shoot guns.  at people.

and i hate it!  this is why i went off of the pill in the first place.  i'm just so ANGRY all the time.  ugh.

we sold our bedroom set last night and got pretty much our full asking ( Read more... )

house, accutane

i'm really concerned that one of my cats actually has pica. he'll eat pieces of carpet, styrofoam, and will chew and eat the stuffing out of toys over eating food sometimes. ** CAUTION!!! major ick factor to follow!!! ** he'll even eat food the other cats have thrown up before he'll eat food out of the dish.

he's the happiest cat in the world, so i can't believe it's a nervous thing, and giving him vitamins hasn't seemed to stop him either.

so weird! maybe it's the food? maybe it's his bowl? sounds like a case for the vet. poor little guy :(

don't get me wrong, he eats the food, too, but he'll eat food, walk to something laying on the floor, and eat that. it's like anything he can fit in his mouth is equally as tasty. i've tried several different foods and several different supplements, and it hasn't helped. the vet said it's relatively common for animals to eat non-food and is usually some sort of deficiency (he's the one who recommended vitamins). i'm beginning to think it's a mental deficiency, not so much a vitamin deficiency.

the vet did say that as long as he sticks to eating things that are small enough to pass through him without causing blockage or other damage, to just let him go. there was only the one time he ate a 4'-5' long ribbon, and he was hacking that back up before he got the whole thing down. (digitalwank was the lucky one to witness (aka clean up after) that one, as i was out of town. pheew.

AWWWW! i'm sorry, i'm laughing a little, but mostly, I KNOW. my dogs will sometimes pick up non-food items and try to eat them, but aren't very successful and then they hack and we'll have to pull whatever out of their mouths. and they just look at us like "what? you never wanted to eat cardboard?"

but the real problem is they're little pigs and would eat until they exploded.

he'll actually chow down faster or run and hide with whatever he's trying to eat if we try to take it from him. he really, really, really, really likes styrofoam. he's such a freak.
