physical labor sucks.
i don't know that i've ever been this tired. it may be a sign that i am getting old, although to be fair, we did a whole fucking lot of work this weekend.
on friday, i ran to monroeville to return everything i bought on a drunken whim at gabe's after the obama rally. i got a mon petit ouiseau dress that requires me to lose at least 5 pounds to wear it comfortably, but it was $19.99, so fucking what. i made it home just as the heavens opened and it started to hail.
our dumpster was delivered on saturday morning. my mom and dad came over and we knocked out the wall between the living and dining rooms. we thought it would take an hour - it took eight and we never even got around to drywalling.
yesterday we pulled up the remaining carpet on the second floor, and then all the tack strips and staples. the only unpleasant surprise we encountered was a six by eight portion of missing hardwood floor that was at some point replaced with plywood. we will fix that posthaste. we also chipped away 80% of the fireplace tiles in the master. my hands are a bloody bruised mess.
there was also a grocery run which is a total deathtrap on sundays.
tonite we're going to start knocking out the wall in the bedroom. i think we are in way over our heads, folks.
