YEAH!!!
Been a while, especially with any kind of real update. Living in Nashville now, working downtown. Still working for the State of TN just took a promotion. Becky finished school and passed her exit exam with a 90. She starts her externship today and will do that for 2 months. Then she should take her state boards to become a licenced limited scope X-Ray tech and will hopefully then be gainfully employed.
BC/BS denied my Lap-Band Surgery so my doctor and I appealed that decision. Lawyers for the company that actually make the Lap-Band took my case and filed my appeal. They told me not to talk to BC/BS and that if they should contact me to refer them to my lawyers. This lead to this conversation on the phone last Wednesday:
Me: Hello.
Lady: Yes this is Cathy with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, Is Justin available?
Me: I believe you are supposed to talk to my lawyers.
Lady: No, no. This is good. Your Surgery has been approved and I am your case manager.
Me: uhhhhh....... The Lap-Band was approved?
Lady: Yes.
she went on to give me some more info and blah blah blah.
Long and short- I am having Lap-Band Surgery Dec. 4. Yippie!!!!
